COVID-19’s first major South African sporting event casualty: the ABSA Cape Epic 2020 – the ride was cancelled at the last minute. Fortunately, entries were carried over to 2021. Hennie du Toit from Diverso, and his partner, Jaco Kotze from Curro, preparing for the 2021 Cape Epic, rode along the dirt roads from Somerset West to Boggoms Bay.
A customer enquired about the Diverso cyclists they saw on their way to Bredasdorp on Friday, the 23rd of October. They saw Hennie, Jaco and Viljoen in full Diverso gear, proudly displaying the Konica Minolta and bizhub logos!
On Friday, they rode 185.4 km from Somerset West to Bredasdorp, and on Saturday, the remaining 220.7 km to Boggoms Bay.
