Joe and I are here with these little champs in Franschhoek. Diverso donated a printer to both Sparkles Educare and Little Butterflies Educare. These creches are part of the Helderberg Uitreik: Hemel op Aarde projek. Heaven on Earth project and I can totally confirm it is a little bit of heaven on earth there.
These amazing ladies take in the little children just like Jesus said – let the children come to me! They make the absolute most of very few resources and small spaces. But the spirits and learning experiences are soaring very high! I know our contribution will make a massive impact to these teachers, learners, families, community and generations – mustard seeds.
1. The teacher does not have to find a printing shop, get there, find time, and pay for printing to be done. That is direct and indirect savings of note!
2. The school can offer a printing service with their new resource and build up a savings account to afford paper and toner when necessary.
I wish I could see these little faces in a few years time when they are in primary school and performing to the best of their abilities – they are well prepared and on the receiving end of love, attention, kindness, discipline, stimulation and skills. They are blessed. And we are blessed to be a blessing!
If you have anything to contribute to these pre-primary schools, you are welcome to drop it at our Diverso office – we can easily get it to a H.O.E.P. educare facility! I am also collecting all the empty toilet rolls in the office as they can be used for crafts and teaching apparatus. Bring your toilet rolls too!
